My Renovation Goals

Nothing is more exciting to me than planning new home renovations. For my own home, of course. Every cent I can save up goes directly to funding my renovation habits. Some people might think it’s weird to redo a house every year, but I think it’s refreshing. I like getting to change my aesthetic to suit my current goals and the current mood of the world. For example, sometimes I go with darker aesthetics when I’m in a more contemplative mood, while when I’m all set on having a glow up, I turn to white, bright, minimalist aesthetics.

I’m currently in discussions with one of the best kitchen installation companies Melbourne has to offer. I know what you’re probably thinking: if you’re so good at renovations and have done them so many times, why would you ever need assistance from an outside company? And to that, I answer: curiosity. I always believe that my own knowledge and skills can be improved, and frankly I’m just generally curious to see what an expert company can do. There are only so many times you can paint over a cabinet before you start thinking that maybe your ideas and inspiration needs a bit of a refresh.

For this particular renovation, I’m considering going with the trends and painting everything a nice shade of green. I’ll obviously have a chat with my kitchen designer first, but I do believe it would contrast nicely with the plants in my garden. If I combine the green base with some bespoke gold finishings, I wouldn’t be surprised if this month’s renovation ends up being the nicest one I’ve ever done.

The company I’ve hired is extremely knowledgeable, just as I imagined they would be. They’ve already given me heaps of tips that I know I’m going to use in my next renovation. I’ll send you some progress pictures so you can follow along with all the exciting updates on my current kitchen renovation and everything involved.

Bathroom Distracting Me

Howdy folks, it’s Mr Chowski back with another important broadcast. Now, I know I’m supposed to be reporting on how the preparations upstairs are going, but I seriously just can’t get that bathroom out of my head. Those bathroom designers seriously outdid themselves. I’ve never seen such an incredible, professional bathroom installation in all my years on this beautiful planet. It was just… wow. Completely breathtaking. It’s going to be hard to concentrate on this broadcast, but I’ll give it my all.

So, it seems that the preparations are going well. We’re setting up for an extended siege, but the reality is that this fight may be over much quicker than we are anticipating. We’re not really sure what tactics the Conclave of Mechanists are going to resort to, or how big their forces are going to be. All we can do is get ready for anything and retreat back to the bathroom bunker if necessary. Thank goodness for the team that gave us one of the best bathroom renovations Melbourne has ever seen! I mean, it’s just gorgeous. The tiles are incredible, the windows let in plenty of light and there’s even a spa bath. How good is that?

Dr Ratroti is telling me to get back on topic, so I better keep talking about what’s happening here. Oh, wait, hold on… Something is happening! We’re getting reports of Conclave foes tunnelling their way into the building, ambushing our forces from behind! This isn’t good at all.

They’ve totally caught us off-guard here, and now they’ve got troops charging from the front as well. There are projectiles flying everywhere, laser beams, fire blasts! It’s horrific, from what we’re hearing! Our forces are surrounded, but they’re fighting back. We’re not doomed yet, but this is definitely going worse than we were hoping for.

To all the Resistance members listening to this, give them everything you’ve got, and when you’ve got nothing left, retreat to the bathroom bunker!

Watching Kitchen Videos

I’ve been watching a lot of videos on the internet lately. No, not those kinds of videos. The good kind. The ones on that very popular video sharing platform, MeTube. I get a lot of different genres of videos recommended in my feed, which is only really a good thing. Although it can be inconsistent and sometimes jarring, I ultimately end up learning a lot of really cool things that I hadn’t ever thought about before. Take, for example, my most recent obsession. I’ve been really into kitchen renovation videos. Sounds weird, doesn’t it? But they’re actually so therapeutic. I think I would be a good kitchen renovator, if I actually ever bothered to try it one day. I’ve got a good grasp on things like colour schemes and interior design, and I’ve seen enough videos to understand the basics of plumbing, even if I have never actually tried it myself before.

This whole thing is actually a little bit frustrating. See, I know what I am capable of. I know that I’m talented, and smart, and good with my hands, and that I could very easily become an expert kitchen renovator. But, I also know that if I went to any of the best kitchen designers Melbourne has to offer and told them about my plans, they likely wouldn’t believe that I could do it. If I asked for an apprenticeship, they would probably tell me to just go back to school and learn a few things first. I don’t really have time for that. My MeTube video recommendations seem to be telling me that entrepreneurship is a really popular and simple goal. I am inclined to agree. However, I really admire all the kitchen designers and interior designers who have become successful in Melbourne. I want to take what I have learned from MeTube, and from these designers, and use it as a lesson for my own career.
